Who builds CopyFi

This is a tool that touches money, so you should be able to see who is behind it before you connect an account. Names, roles, what we have shipped, and the things CopyFi deliberately does not do.

Why this page exists

Most crypto tools do not tell you who made them. That is not an oversight, it is a choice, and it is worth noticing when you are deciding whether to connect an exchange account to something. So here we are, with names.

The people

Mishka Bensouda Breton — Chief Executive Officer. Runs the company and answers the email you send to info@copyfi.ai.

Guillaume Beauchamp — Co-founder and Chief Product Officer. He decides what the product does and what it refuses to do, and he is the one in the videos on our channel. His public profile is on Product Hunt.

Nicholas — lead developer, and Mahmoud — developer. They build the execution layer: the part that takes a copied signal, applies your rules, and talks to the exchange.

Four people. We are not a large company and we are not going to pretend to be one, because the size is relevant to what you can expect from us.

Why we built it

Copy trading, as most platforms do it, mirrors a trader one to one. You inherit their good calls, and you also inherit their leverage, their position sizing and their worst day. The only real controls you get are how much you allocate and when you stop.

We thought the decision was in the wrong place. So CopyFi puts your rules between the signal and your account: which traders you accept, how much size a single trade may use, a leverage ceiling the copied trader cannot push you past, direction and per-asset filters, and kill switches that end a session on a P&L or drawdown limit. You build them from visual blocks, because the people who most need risk rules are the least likely to write them in Python.

What CopyFi is not

This list matters more than the feature list, and you would find all of it out anyway.

  • Not a broker, and not licensed. We hold no financial licence and no investor-protection scheme covers you here. What we offer instead is that there is nothing of yours for us to lose: we never hold your funds. See what non-custodial actually buys you.
  • Not a financial advisor. We make no investment recommendations and we never tell you which trader to copy. The risk disclosure is written plainly rather than buried.
  • Not available everywhere yet. CopyFi executes on Phemex today, with more venues planned. If your capital is elsewhere, using CopyFi means moving it, and that is a real cost.
  • Not a performance promise. We publish no returns, no win rates of our own, and no testimonials we wrote ourselves. Trading loses money for most people who try it, and a rules layer changes how you lose, not whether you can.
  • Not finished. Backtesting is still marked coming soon inside the app. We would rather say that here than let you find an empty screen.

Where we are

CopyFi was founded in 2026 and is built from Canada. The product is live and free during early access, and the first 100 accounts keep those features. You can run the whole setup on paper money first with a testnet account before any real funds are involved.
